School’s Comments: American Graduate University, founded in 1976, offers a whole vehicle of education that operates outside the campus and classroom tradition. The university is uniquely qualified to offer courses and degree programs in the fields of acquisition management, contract management, project/program management, supply management, and business management. It has a well-defined and structured distance learning curriculum, excellent faculty, an extensive proprietary collection of textbooks and course materials, and an ongoing dissemination research program. To apply, a sponsor would be helpful who could print out the application form or apply online for an individual. Optionally, you could request an application form by mail. They do have several incarcerated individuals who are some of their best students.
School Comments: AGU provides flexible distance education graduate programs that are suitable for individuals without access to computers. Courses are self-paced and can be done entirely by mail. Students, however, must complete each course within five months. Since AGU has continuous enrollment, students can register at any time. Upon registration, the student is sent the textbook and study guide. The study guide includes all lesson exams. For students without computer access, scantron forms are provided, as well as self-addressed envelopes. AGU’s Student Services Department facilitates contact between the instructor and the student. For information on AGU’s programs, please contact Marie Simey, American Graduate University, 733 N. Dodsworth Avenue, Covina, CA 91724.
