Federal Prison Camp Alderson (FPC Alderson) is a minimum-security United States federal prison for female inmates in West Virginia. It was opened in 1928 and is also known as “Camp Cupcake.” The facility can house over 1000 inmates and offers visiting hours for family and friends. FPC Alderson provides its inmates with educational, vocational, medical, mental health, religious, and recreational services.
